Lufthansa A380 First Class Urinals

Lufthansa A380
Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to travel on Lufthansa’s newest A380 for its maiden flight to New York City. Prior to the flight I was allowed onboard to poke around, try out the seats and best of all, view the newly revamped First Class cabin.
As one would expect, the First Class cabin is the most impressive. Some of the many highlights found in this elite cabin are:
  • A bed 6’9” in length featuring a Paradies mattress and heat regulating blankets
  • A unique partition system that creates complete privacy
  • Gigantic lavatory space
  • A humidification system that reduces the normal dry air that plagues every airline passenger.

The one feature that everyone has asked about is one of the more modest of additions. Located within the spacious and exquisitely appointed First Class lavatories is not a shower or even a bidet, but urinals.
This may shock some people, but it’s actually a brilliant addition. Not only does it add convenience for the male passengers, but it also increases the toilet area hygiene making the experience much more pleasant for women as well.
And so, without further ado, here are the photos of the Lufthansa A380 First Class urinals.
