The Antarctica Peninsula is full of icebergs and penguins. It is an excellent place to explore the icy waters of

The West coast of Antarctica is full of mountains and these are the places for ice climbing and trekking. Full of grounded icebergs you can be proud to be the first to explore these unexplored areas. Now and then you can watch whales pass by when you need some rest.
The largest ice shelf called the Ross with hundreds of feet thickness is of the size of Spain. You can see massive icebergs in these areas. Further moving on you can reach the Scott and Shackleton expedition huts to learn more about exploration in Antarctica.
South Orkney IslandsSubmarine mountains link the Antarctica with these groups of islands. These are breeding grounds for Weddel seals. Nesting Penguins are found in the Coronation Island. The Laurie Island has an Argentinean meteorological station. You can look for the largest bird called the albatross in these areas and for punky Macaroni penguins.
South Sandwich IslandsThese are active volcanic islands which are covered with snow and ice. These are inhospitable areas. Glaciers cover almost 80 percent of these islands. For more than half of the year they are covered with ice.
