With 84 acres of land and the Disneyland Anaheim hotels, the park is divided into eight sections representing eight points of a compass. As soon as you enter the main gate, you will be walked through the park virtually at what is known as Main Street.
Early 20th century America theme is the first as you walk into Main Street with double-deck buses, arcades, and steam powered engines. The buildings are designed to stand out from the background simulating a sense of height, forming a force perspective. You must go through this area to visit the other theme sections.
Adventure Land is a mixture of Exotic tropical themes and fantastic elements. Entry is via The Enchanted Tiki Room, which will take you through familiar scenes from the Indiana Jones and Tarzan movies, with wild vegetation and jungles.
The next taste of history can be found at the New Orleans Square inspired by the movies Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion. Another is the realm called Frontierland which has been built as a tribute to America`s founding fathers.
Futher attractions are the Mark Twain Riverboat and Pirate’s Lair at Tom Sawyer Island, which are also early America themed, as well as the Golden Horseshoe Saloon with the atmosphere of the Old West.
Critter Country is prairie and hills themed, with attractions such as Splash Mountain and a ride called The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Fantasyland is the most popular as it features rides and attractions inspired from famous children stories like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. Mickey’s Toontown is cartoon based featuring Who Framed Roger Rabbit including Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
