Little Finland, Nevada Desert

This must be the least known area in all of the Southwest. Very few people have even know it exists. Little Finland is located about 50 miles south of Mesquite, Nevada. Little Finland really lights up at sunset. This place is a lot like Fantasy Canyon, lots of individual odd rock formations.
Little Finland, also known as Hobgoblin’s playground, is located in a very remote area of Nevada, off a backcountry road named Gold Butte Byway. A high clearance 4WD vehicle, a topographic map and a GPS device are mandatory to get there. It worth the effort as you’ll discover a place of extraordinarily twisted sandstone formations, with unusual and photogenic shapes reminding animals or other creatures, taking very nice colors in late afternoon and early evening.
