10 Best Places to Spend Autumn

Autumn is that time of the year when you realize that the holiday’s over and that it’s time to get down to some serious work. No more sandy beaches, tropical islands or other sunny locations. However, the fact that the weather has got colder and that you can practically smell the winter doesn’t mean that travelling is over.

In fact, autumn offers great new opportunities at smaller prices as not every tourist knows where to go and what it is that can be done in this season. So let’s begin an autumnal journey! Here are some of the best places in the world where you will enjoying spending your autumn. I may have missed out some so please feel free to comment.
GERMANY

There is still a whole lot to do if you come later in this country even if the weather might play some tricks on you. If you’re lucky enough you might enjoy sunny days and a blue sky and also the harvesting time, which is something not to be missed.

CHINA

You may have never thought about visiting China in the autumn, but this is also a perspective definitely worth taking into consideration. The view is absolutely breathtaking, so it will be easy to understand why it has inspired so many painters.
FRANCE

France is another country filled with autumn attractions really worth taking advantage of. For the romantic in you and enjoying the colors of the leaves and watching them fall is just the right thing to do.
USA, YELLOWSTONE

Even though this country has definitely a lot to offer in any season, this particular location is one that could keep one busy for an entire autumn. The park offers some very good accommodation, but you will not spend a lot of time here as the site practically invites you to go out.
Canada
See some of the highest tides in the world and enjoy the vivacious reds and deep pumpkin oranges. Tree variety and colors are similar to New England’s, yet crowds are minimal.
Scotland
Where better to escape for an autumn break or day out than Perth shire where the seasonal spectacle of changing autumn colors has captivated visitors for many years.
England,Surrey

More than 1,000 tree and shrub species established on a hillside overlooking lakes. The gold, silver and scarlet of turning maples, and the yellow of lime leaves, stand out boldly against the background of evergreens. Photographers find great reward here.
Italy

This season is an excellent time to visit Italy. As is the case with many destinations in the Northern Hemisphere, when the worst of the summer heat has faded it makes way for some of the loveliest weather you could experience all year long.

The Tatras Mountains,Poland

Tallest crop in the Carpathian range, the Tatras mark the Polish – Slovakian border. Alpine characteristics such as high altitude meadows, steep rocky cliffs and sparkling, icy glacial lakes add to the appeal of the towering peaks to hikers, climbers and winter sports enthusiasts.
Central Park, NY
Now this is MY favorite. You can’t beat an autumn stroll along the pathways, lakesides and bridges of Central Park, New York as the leaves turn yellow in bright sunlight.
