Iceland: The Place Where Virgin Nature Lives

celand or the Republic of Iceland is a European island country in the Atlantic ocean. The beauty of virgin nature in these places impresses everybody. Usually the weather here is rather chilly and the cold, strong, icy wind blows around hills, volcanoes and glaciers.

Landmannalaugar is a region near the volcano Hekla in  the southern section of Iceland highlands that is so popular among tourists.

The Vik village is the most southern settlement in Iceland. The waterfall Skogafoss is located near the village. A strong dazzling white storm often rages here on black sands.
The waterfall Seljalandsfoss has a way in it through which one can pass this waterfall.

Rocks Dyrholaey and black sand beaches with columnar capes.

The park Lakagigar is an accumulation of volcano craters. This rift was formed because of the eruption of the volcano Laki in 1783, when about 20000 people died.
Maps of these places.

The waterfall Svartifoss or the Black waterfall is not big, high or powerful. It is located near the park Skaftafell and surrounded by basalt tubes clutched in a small ravine.

Glacial lakes covered with ice blocks.

Those who wishes can take a trip by a cutter along the bay. It will cost you 3000 kronas (24 dollars). But cutters can't go to the glacier because of ice blocks.

Jokulsarlon (that means "glacier lagoon") is the largest glacier lake in Iceland therewith it has the straight access to the sea. Floes move from the lake to the sea during ebbs and flows. Then waves throw them on the black sand beaches.

Horses in Iceland are beautiful with long shaggy manes. They wouldn't refuse to eat some your sugar and bread.
Puffins.

The tourists' camp Dreki.

The icy cave Kverkfjoll was formed several years ago when hot springs washed out ice strata.

It is very dangerous here! An ice block can fall at any time.

Waterfalls Hafragilsfoss, Dettifoss и Selfoss are located on the same river, on a fault of the earth's crust.

Kkafla Namafjall is a geothermal zone with fumaroles and little volcanoes.

The waterfall Godofoss.

Western fiords of Iceland.

The cape Latrabjarg has the biggest colony of birds

The waterfall Dynjandi is probably one of the most beautiful nature creations. Clean streams flow down the slopes playing with all rainbow colors.
