This wonderful beach is located in the north-east of Sokotra island, Yemen. There is no road leading there, only the rut made by jeeps. It's
an amusing place, impressing with its high sand dunes that cuddle up to
high smooth rocks.
The beach looks empty, only one fisher is here.
Though, as you see, tourists do come here sometimes.
The main sight of the beach is sand dunes. They are formed in summer
when monsoon winds are blowing. The strong wind falling from the cliff
into the sea creates a vertically twisting flow of air, taking white
coral sea sand up under the cliff.
Between the dunes a fresh stream is flowing.
It forms a small pool where it should be cool to bathe in warm weather.
To those caves excursions are made.
Around the stream there is a lot of grass.
