Point Lenana is a mountain peak in Kenya. If you reach it one day
probably it would be the best time in your life and the most picturesque
views you've ever seen.
The moonlight ruined all other colors.
Hills are quite high, the air is fresh and there are practically no vegetation, only some groundsel.
At night lakes look like huge black holes.
Taking pictures in the moonlight is a difficult work.
The higher you rise the cooler and windier the weather becomes.
In the twilight.
It is very cold here.
A layer of grey clouds produce the softbox effect. Every studio photographer would envy!
A mountain is in the light of a big nature diffuser.
Austrian Hut is the highest hut on Mount Kenya. It is a good base for
the ascent of Lenana and for exploring the surrounding area.
The Mackinder Valley. The whole world is spread before the eyes.
The mountain is an old volcano covered with a snow cap.
How this place looked 10 years ago.
The sunrise. If you never seen it you lost your lifetime.
Batian (5199 metres) is the highest peak in Kenya. It can't be reached by foot.
Lakes here are simply huge!
When the sun rises high the landscape becomes not so expressive.
It is quite easy to get lost in this desert place.
Mountains seem to be endless.
The valley is called Mackinder in honor of the man who was first to reach the mountain top in 1899.
Another lake.
The road to it.
The last vegetation.
A strange and unusual form for lakes.
Huts for tourists.
The radio works all the day but there is no electricity.
Solar batteries and big accumulators replace the electricity.
No doubt views of the night sky are the most beautiful, impressive and memorable.
