"Head In The Sand" Festival In Berlin

Sandsation - is an exhibition and an international contest at the same time. Sculptors from all over the world come to take part in it.

This festival in 2010 was the eighth and it was held not far from the complex O2 World, where usually the largest capital concerts are arranged.

On the territory of 4500 sq. hectares, where they brought more than 2000 tons of sand.

The sandsation that year was named "Head In The Sand". Such a feeling that you find yourself on an unusual beach, however not at the sea, but in the center of Berlin.

The winner of the contest - the sculpture of a Russian master - Pavel Mylnikov.

It was called "I listen, I hear, I speak".

The sculpture made by an Indian master, the winner of 2009 contest Sudarsan Pattnaik, was great too.

Sculpture made by Germans

By the way, the figures aren't afraid of rain, they are processed with some special substance.

At some sculptures you may stand for long reflecting upon the idea of the master.
